DCLM Daily Manna 22 June 2026: Preach the Gospel
KEY VERSE: “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues Mark 16: 16-17
TEXT: Mark 16:14-20 KJV
Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
19 So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. 20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen.

The gospel can break chains in prison cells, restore dignity to the ashamed, bring enemies to their knees in reconciliation, and turn the hardest heart into a dwelling place for love. No philosophy, government, or movement in history has changed the world like the message of Christ crucified and risen. It is not just good words or advice; it is good news with the power to convict and convert the souls of men.
In today’s text, Christ appeared to the disciples after His resurrection. He upbraided them for their unbelief and charged them to go and preach the gospel. He told them that while some will believe their words, others would not. Those who believe will experience signs and wonders. They shall cast out devils, speak in tongues, take up serpents, be immune to poison and heal the sick. Soon after speaking these words, Christ ascended to heaven and sat on the right hand of God. On earth, the disciples promptly obeyed the Lord’s command and put the gospel on the road.
The commission to preach the gospel did not expire with the early Church. It is not reserved for pastors or missionaries alone; it belongs to every follower of Jesus Christ. Regrettably, in a world full of distractions, many believers have gone silent on the gospel. In a culture increasingly hostile to the truth, the tendency is to hide faith behind politeness. But the gospel is not something to be hoarded. It is a lifeline, not a lifestyle brand. When we share the good news, heaven partners with us, just as it did with the apostles.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every believer goes everywhere with a pulpit; how and how often they use it depends on their commitment
