DCLM Daily Manna 10 May 2026: Truth Always Prevails
Key Verse: “Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven” (Matthew 22:29,30).ghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong” (Joel 3:10).
BIBLE READING: Matthew 22:23-33
he same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, 24 saying: “Teacher, Moses said that if a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. 25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first died after he had married, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother. 26 Likewise the second also, and the third, even to the seventh. 27 Last of all the woman died also. 28 Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had her.”
29 Jesus answered and said to them, “You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels of God in heaven. 31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” 33 And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at His teaching.

One time Indian statesman, Mahatma Gandhi, once noted that, “An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it.” Again, he said of his personality, “When I despair, I remember that all through history, the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it always.”
For centuries, the Sadducees held tenaciously to the errors, which they used as slavish cords to bind the minds of the simple masses who could not read between the lines until Christ showed up as the embodiment of the truth. He put paid to their agelong false propagation against the resurrection of the dead.
Jesus affirmed that the Sadducees were in error because they lacked the truth of Scripture. They opined a life of marriage that is incongruent with the biblical truth on resurrection. But the Lord Jesus affirmed that “in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.” Christ’s revelation astounded the people because of its depth and clarity.
Those who desire to discern the truth from error must learn to equip themselves with the infallible word of God. Be addicted to reading, studying, meditating and living on God’s instructions. And peddlers of errors will never find a ready and willing stall in you to display their erroneous wares.
