Daily Devo 30 May
But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.— Psalm 73:28 (AMPC)
From the book Starting Your Day Right – by Joyce Meyer
One way to start your day right is to choose not to dread things. Don’t lie in bed dreading all the tasks you need to do before you even get up—that will “prime” you to have a bad day. Dread and fear are close relatives spiritually—like fear, when dread enters, joy leaves. Dread sets you up for misery, because it causes you to decide that you can’t enjoy what you need to do.

But guess what? You can choose a different approach to each day’s to-do list: as a new challenge. Like advancing to a new level, you can be excited when you face new tests. Close the door to dread. Decide early to embrace every challenge that you face today, knowing that Jesus is with you and you’re more than a conqueror with His help (see Romans 8:37).
Daily Devo 30 May– Prayer Starter: Father, You know the things I’ve been dreading lately. Please help me to let go of the fear and dread I have about _____, and to trust You more. Thank You for hearing me, and for giving me the strength I need to overcome today’s challenges. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
