The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC says despite the efforts of government in the fight against the COVID-19, it will take time to vaccinate everyone against the virus.
Director-general of the Commission, Chike Ihekweazu disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
He said residents must continue to adhere to public health and social measures, which are the actions needed to win the battle against the pandemic.
“We must keep adhering to the public health and social measures that keep each and all of us safe. This means physical distancing, wearing face masks, practicing hand and respiratory hygiene, and avoiding crowded indoor places,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nigerians have started receiving the vaccines, which had been certified by the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and control, NAFDAC.
