Rivers state recorded 3 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,959 with 12,753 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Monday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 167 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -113, FCT-22, Plateau-16, Kano-4, Abia-3, Kaduna-3, Rivers-3, Bauchi-2 and Delta-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,789 with 207,478 discharged and 2,980 deaths.
Meanwhile the NCDC has announced the detection of the omicron covid variant in the country.
