Rivers State recorded the highest number of Covid-19 cases with 263 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 10,035 with 8490 discharged and 124 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total Nigeria recorded 835 new cases. Lagos recorded the second highest number of cases with – 217, Oyo-128, Edo-45, Kwara-42, FCT-37, Ekiti-35, Ogun-13, Akwa Ibom-11, Imo-11, Bayelsa-10, Plateau-7, Delta-4, Kaduna-3, Benue-2, Niger-2, Sokoto-2, Abia-1, Ebonyi-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 189,715 with 169,262 recovered patients, and 2,298 deaths.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State government has urged residents of the state yet to get vaccinated to do so, as it has no side effects.
