Rivers state recorded 79 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 13,232 with 12,820 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 1051 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -599, FCT-238, Rivers-79, Oyo-51, Ondo-32, Plateau-20, Akwa Ibom-11, Ogun-7, Bayelsa-5, Kano-5 and Kwara-4.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 221,071 with 211,345 discharged and 2,983 deaths.
The NCDC has announced more cases of the omicron variant in the country.
