Rivers state recorded 6 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,922 with 12,714 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 105 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -43, Gombe-21, FCT-16, Niger-10, Rivers-6, Plateau-5, Edo-2, Bauchi-1 and Kano-1
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,218 with 207,304 discharged and 2,977 deaths.
Meanwhile the NCDC has announced detection of the omicron covid variant in the country.
