Rivers State recorded 56 new cases of Covid-19, yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 11,3276 with 10,458 discharged and 138 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total Nigeria recorded 547 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -110, Oyo-72, Rivers-56, Anambra-50, Osun-49, Delta-48, FCT-42, Ekiti-29, Akwa Ibom-26, Abia-19, Kano-16, Edo-10, Benue-7, Ogun-6, Kaduna-5 and Bayelsa-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 198,786 with 185,075 recovered patients, and 2,590 deaths.
The World Health Organization has said that the country’s response to the pandemic is one of the best globally.
