Rivers State recorded 50 new cases of covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 11,627 with 10,692 discharged and 149 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 601 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -173, Edo-9, FCT-68, Rivers-50, Delta-45, Kaduna-28, Ondo-28, Akwa Ibom-25, Bayelsa-16, Imo-16, Plateau-15, Anambra-12, Ekit-11, Cross River-6, Oyo-6, Gombe-3 and Benue-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 200,957 with 189,346 discharged and 2647 deaths.
The NCDC, has again advised Nigerians to obey all covid-19 protocols to curb the spread of the deadly virus.
