Rivers State recorded 40 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,647 with 12,370 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Monday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 711 new cases. Delta recorded the highest number with- 508, Plateau-41, Rivers-40, FCT-32, Enugu-24, Lagos-19, Imo-16, Cross River-9, Ekiti-9, Abia-4, Benue-3, Kano-3, Bauchi-1, Bayelsa-1 and Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 211,171 with 202,674 discharged and 2,884 deaths.
The NCDC has said obeying all covid-19, protocols is key to curbing the spread of the deadly virus.
