Rivers State recorded 4 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3279 with, 2,987 discharged and 60 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 501 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 218, FCT-112, Kaduna-53, Plateau-24, Katsina-21, Kano-16, Yobe-14, Ondo-10, Ogun-9, Edo-7, Bayelsa-5, Rivers-4, Borno-4, Osun-2, and Ekiti-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 78,434 with 68,303 and 1,221 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
