Rivers state recorded 3 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,956 with 12,734 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Saturday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 54 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -25, Oyo-11, FCT-6, Kwara-3, Rivers-3, Bauchi-2, Delta-2, Kano-1 and Ogun-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,567 with 207,427 discharged and 2,980 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has urged Nigerians to obey all covid protocol as it has detected the omicron covid variant in the country.
