Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of the COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 2,661 with 2,481 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 111 new cases of the virus. Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases with – (32), Lagos (23), FCT (15), Osun (11), Ogun (9), Oyo (6), Imo (4), Bauchi (3), Kaduna (3), Yobe (3), and Rivers (2).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 60,103 with 51,711 and 1,115 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
