Rivers state recorded 17 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,976 with 12,757 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 107 new cases. FCT recorded the highest number with -38, Oyo-21, Rivers-17, Edo-13, Delta-7, Enugu-4, Zamfara-4 and Plateau-3
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 214,896 with 207,495 discharged and 2,980 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has announced the detection of the omicron variant in the country.
