Rivers State recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3162 with, 29,21 discharged and 60 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 201 new cases of the virus. Kaduna recorded the highest number of cases with – (74), Lagos (53), Katsina (40), Rivers (11), Plateau (9), Kwara (6), Bauchi (2), Ogun(2), Taraba (2), Edo (1), and Sokoto (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 73,374 with 66,314 and 1,197 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
