Rivers State recorded 0 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state stands at 2914 with 2,750 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 152 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – (136), Kano (4), Niger (3), Ekiti (2), Kaduna (2), Ogun (2), Taraba (2) and FCT (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 65148 with 61073 and 1,163 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
