Rivers State recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at to 2,517 with 2,344 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Other states in the country recorded a total of 50 new instances of the virus. Plateau recorded the highest number of cases with – (18), Lagos (15), Katsina (10), Ogun (5), Kaduna (4), Edo (3), Ekiti (1), FCT (1), and Ondo (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 59,345 with 50,768 and 1,113 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
