Rivers State recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,168 with 2008 discharged and 57 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
Nigeria recorded 125 new cases of the virus. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – (42), FCT (25), Katsina (14), Kaduna (11), Kwara (8), Ondo (7), Delta (4), Anambra (3) Oyo (3), Edo (2), Ogun (2), Osun (2), and Cross River (1)
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 54,588 with 42,627 and 1048 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
