Rivers State has recorded 32 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 364, with 152 discharged and 21 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre also announced 315 new cases of the COVID19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number of the new cases with 128; FCT-34; Rivers- 32; Edo- 28; Oyo- 22; Kaduna- 20; Gombe- 13; Ogun- 8; Plateau- 5; Delta- 7; Kwara- 7; Kano- 5; Bauchi- 4; and Katsina- 2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 12801 with 4040 discharged and 361 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases, as the country is on course to curb the spread of the virus.
