Rivers State recorded 31 new cases of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,320 with 12,035 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Monday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 284 new cases. FCT recorded the highest number with -67, Kaduna-33, Rivers-31, Anambra-23, Lagos-22, Osun-22, Cross River-18, Edo-18, Ondo-13, Plateau-12, Nasarawa-6, Kwara-5, Imo-4, Benue-3, Niger-2, Delta-1, Ekiti-1, Jigawa-1, Ogun-1 and Oyo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 207,978 with 195,626 discharged and 2,756 deaths.
The NCDC has said obeying all covid-19, protocols is key to curbing the spread of the deadly virus.
