Rivers State has recorded 30 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 394, with 158 discharged and 21 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre also announced 663 new cases of the COVID19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number of the new cases with 170; Ogun-108; Bauchi-69; Ebonyi-49; Edo-33; Rivers-30; FCT-26; Jigawa-26; Delta-20; Anambra-17; Gombe-16; Kano-16; Imo-15; Abia-14; Borno-11; Oyo-11; Plateau-8; Kebbi-6; Kaduna-6; Ondo-4; Niger-2; Katsina-2; Osun-1; Ekiti-1; Kwara-1; and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 13464 with 4206 discharged and 365 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases, as the country is on course to curb the spread of the virus.
