President Muhammadu Buhari has enjoined governors of the thirty-six states of the federation to work closely with the presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 to ensure a United front in the battle against the spread of coronavirus in the country.
The president said this during a virtual meeting with members of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum(NGF) from state house Abuja.
This meeting comes sequel to a meeting with members of the PTF recently.
He said a new national response to the out break of COVID-19 in the country will be unveiled hence the need for a synergy. He noted that countries with advanced technology and power have suffered severe casualties and therefore, emphasized the need to be cautious.
Chairperson of the NGF and Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi commended the president for his “exemplary leadership and direction” in the face of the country’s battle with the coronavirus pandemic.
