The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, says despite taking the COVID-19 vaccine, people still need to adhere to NonParmaceutical interventions and other public health guidelines.
The Commission, which is the country’s national public health institute, with the mandate to lead the preparedness, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks, disclosed this in a tweet on its official Twitter handle on Wednesday.
It advised residents to always wear their face masks; wash their hands regularly, observe physical distancing and other COVID-19 protocols.
Meanwhile, vaccination of Nigerians had already started with the president, Vice-President and other leaders of the country getting the jab on live TV.
