Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,877 with 6,702 discharged and 98 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 96 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 28, Yobe-20, Akwa Ibom-10, Cross River-9, Kaduna-6, Kano-5, Edo-4, Oyo-3, Plateau-3, Jigawa-2, Osun-2, Borno-1, Nasarawa-1, Rivers-1 and Sokoto-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 162,178 with 148,726 recovered patients, and 2031 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has advised Nigerians to take the jab as it is safe and has no side effects.
