Rivers State recorded 17 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 3,572 with, 3,209 discharged and 64 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19 in the country.
In total, Nigeria recorded 917 new cases. FCT recorded the highest number of cases with – (222), Lagos (214), Kaduna (119), Plateau (92), Nasarawa (50), Oyo (41), Adamawa (33), Ondo (32), Abia (28), Ogun (19), Rivers (17), Kano (16), Yobe (14), Edo (cool, Anambra (6), Ekiti (5), and Jigawa (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 90,080 with 75,044 recovered patients, and 1,131 deaths.
The NCDC has said that employers & business owners have a responsibility to ensure: Employees & customers wear a face mask, provision of handwashing facilities, limit the number of people in office spaces per time, offices are well ventilated and regular disinfection of frequently touched surfaces.
