Rivers state recorded 1 new case of Covid-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 12,994 with 12,774 discharged and 154 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 754 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with -595, FCT-68, Imo-49, Edo-3, Oyo-9, Delta-5, Katsina-4, Kano-3, Plateau-3, Ekiti-2, Gombe-2 and Rivers-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 215,918 with 207,619 discharged and 2,981 deaths.
The NCDC says 6 cases of the omicron variant have been detected in the country.
