Rivers State recorded 25 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,787 with 7,395 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 747 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 488, Akwa Ibom-121, Oyo-29, Rivers-25, Ogun-15, FCT-13, Kaduna-13, Kwara-11 Ekiti-10, Osun-10, Edo-6, Abia-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 176,011 with 165,208 recovered patients, and 2,167 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency says urged Nigerias to obey all covid-19 protocols as it has recorded 32 cases of the deadly Delta variant in five states so far.
