Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,259 with 7049 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 63 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 25, Ondo-22, Rivers-6, Akwa Ibom-3, Kaduna-3, Kwara-2, Ebonyi-1 and FCT-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,254 with 156,546 recoverd patients, and 2,071 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a new variant.
