Rivers State recorded 27 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,262 with 5,742 discharged and 91 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 662 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 167, FCT-116, Ogun-45, Kano-44, Akwa Ibom-35, Edo-34, Rivers-27, Kaduna-23, Osun-23, Kwara-22, Taraba-22, Oyo-20, Ondo-19, Plateau-14, Abia-11, Imo-11, Nasarawa-7, Niger-6, Bayelsa-5, Delta-5, Enugu-3, Ekiti-2 and Jigawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 150,908 with 127,500 recovered patients, and 1,813 deaths.
The commission has advised Nigerians to Remember to wash their hands at these critical times:
Before and after eating or preparing a meal.
Before wearing a face mask.
After using sanitary facilities.
After sneezing and coughing and upon arrival at work or back home.
