Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,109 with 6,994 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 62 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 38, Kaduna-6, Ondo-6, Ogun-3, Akwa Ibom-2, FCT-2, Rivers-2, Edo-1, Kano-1 and Oyo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,055 with 155,041 recovered patients, and 2,063 deaths.
The agency has said that it will not accept vaccines from unauthorized sources, despite the scarcity of vaccines globally.
