Rivers State recorded 152 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 8,214 with 7,504 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total Nigeria recorded 610 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 281, Rivers-152, Akwa Ibom-85, Ogun-21, Oyo-21, Ekiti-14, FCT-13, Delta-7, Edo-6, Ondo-4, Bayelsa-2, Kano-2 and Plateau-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 179,118 with 166,131 recovered patients, and 2,194 deaths.
The NCDC, has urged Nigerians to obey all covid-19 protocols as it has recorded cases of the deadly Delta variant in five states.
