Rivers State recorded 1 new case of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 6,949 with 6,835 discharged and 100 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.

In total, Nigeria recorded 58 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 32, Kaduna-5, Enugu-4, Kano-4, Edo-3, FCT-3, Osun-3, Abia-1, Bauchi-1, Gombe-1 and Rivers-1.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 163,388 with 153,630 recovered patients, and 2,058 deaths.

The agency has advised Nigerians to continue obeying all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the jab.
