Rivers State recorded 4 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,573 with 7,337 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Thursday.
In total Nigeria recorded 558 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 376, Oyo-33, Akwa Ibom-26, FCT-22, Imo-15, Bayelsa-13, Ekiti-13, Kano-12, Ogun-11, Plateau-11, Delta-9, Jigawa-6, Rivers-4, Zamfara-4, Edo-2 and Ebonyi-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 172,821 with 164,930 recovered patients, and 2,141 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency says Nigeria has recorded 10 cases of the deadly Delta variant so far.
