Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,166 with 7040 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 49 new Cases. Enugu recorded the highest number with – 22, Lagos-18, Rivers-6, Akwa Ibom-2, and Edo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 165,661 with 156,399 recovered patients, and 2,066 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as their is an emergence of a new variant.
