Rivers State recorded 11 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,239 with 7049 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 48 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 22, Rivers-11, Enugu-11, Kaduna-2, FCT-1 and Gombe-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 166,146 with 156,529 recovered patients, and 2,071 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a new variant.
