Rivers State recorded 50 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,544 with 6,190 discharged and 95 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 479 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 153, Enugu-75, Rivers-50, FCT-40, Kaduna-18, Ebonyi-17, Plateau-17, Edo-17, Borno-16, Oyo-12, Kano-11, Abia-10, Cross River-10, Taraba-9, Nasarawa-7, Bauchi-4, Bayelsa-3, Delta-3, Ekiti-2, Niger-2, Ogun-2 and Akwa Ibom-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 156,496 with 134,551 recovered patients, and 1,923 deaths.
Meanwhile, the commission has said it is pleased that the nation received its 1st shipment of 4million doses of #COVID19Vaccine, yesterday.
“We are grateful to the #COVAX facility for this timely intervention,” it tweeted.
