Rivers State recorded 8 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,313 with 7167 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Wednesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 44 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 32, Rivers-8, FCT-2 and Plateau-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,375 with 163,917 recovered patients, and 2,118 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
