Rivers State recorded 86 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 8,062 with 7,504 discharged and 102 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Monday.
In total Nigeria recorded 422 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 190, Rivers-86, Ogun-85, Oyo-22, FCT-20, Kwara-7, Edo-5, Abia-4 and Bayelsa-3.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 178,508 with 165,982 recovered patients, and 2,192 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has urged Nigerians to obey all covid-19 protocols as it has recorded cases of the deadly Delta variant in five states.
