Rivers State recorded 19 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,762 with 6,422 discharged and 97 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 287 new Cases. Bauchi recorded the highest number with -107, Kwara-26, Akwa Ibom-23, Bauchi-22
Ogun-21, Rivers-19, Kaduna-14, FCT-11, Abia-8, Edo-8, Ekiti-6, Kano-5, Gombe-4, Osun-4, Oyo-3, Plateau-3, Nasarawa-2 and Delta-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 159,933 with 142,404 recovered patients, and 2,001 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has said that it is working closely with sister agencies like, the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency and NAFDAC, as the #COVID19 vaccine is gradually introduced across states.
