Rivers State recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,852 with 6,595 discharged and 98 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 135 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 41, Imo-20, Ogun-14, FCT-10, Kebbi-11, Rivers-10, Akwa Ibom-8, Plateau-4, Ebonyi-3, Kaduna-3, Kano-3, Osun-3, Oyo-2, Ekiti-1, Gombe-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 161,409 with 146,890 recovered patients, and 2,027 deaths.
Meanwhile the NCDC has said that the Astrazeneca vaccine is safe and has no side effects.
