Rivers State recorded 16 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,403 with 7,234 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Friday.
In total Nigeria recorded 132 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 109, Rivers-16, Gombe-3, Katsina-2 FCT-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 169,206 with 164,666 recovered patients, and 2,126 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe with no side effects.
