Rivers State recorded 12 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,867 with 6,663 discharged and 98 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 131 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 64, Rivers-12, Kaduna-11, Plateau-9, Jigawa-8, Bayelsa-6, Ondo-5, Ebonyi-4, FCT-4, Osun-4, Borno-1, Kano-1, Ogun-1 and Oyo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 161,868 with 148,125 recovered patients, and 2030 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has urged Nigerians to take the COVID-19 vaccines, as it is safe and has no side effects.
