Rivers State recorded 8 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,411 with 7,234 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Saturday.
In total Nigeria recorded 123 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 70, Akwa Ibom-18, Ogun-10, Oyo-8, Rivers-8, Ekiti-4, FCT-4 and Bayelsa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 169,329 with 164,672 recovered patients, and 2,126 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe with no side effects.
