Rivers State recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,366 with 7,211 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Sunday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 12 new cases. Akwa Ibom recorded the highest number of cases with – 6, Ogun-4 and Rivers-2.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 168,552 with 164,439 recovered patients, and 2,124 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe with no side effects.
