Rivers State recorded 22 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,899 with 6,739 discharged and 99 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19
In total, Nigeria recorded 113 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 53, Rivers-22, Akwa Ibom-12, Kaduna-12, Ondo-6, Osun-3, FCT-2, Jigawa-1, Nasarawa-1 and Kano-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 162,388 with 149,986 recovered patients, and 2039 deaths.
Meanwhile, the agency has advised Nigerians to take the jab as it is safe and has no side effects.
