Rivers State recorded 0 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 6,852 with 6,638 discharged and 98 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 112 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 35, FCT-22, Ondo-17, Kaduna-9, Ebonyi-9, Bauchi-6, Kebbi-4, Delta-2, Osun-2, Jigawa-2, Borno-1, Edo-1, Kano-1 and Nasarawa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 161,651 with 147,775 recovered patients, and 2,030 deaths.
Meanwhile the NCDC has said that the Astrazeneca vaccine is safe and has no side effects.
