Obio Akpor, Eleme and Port Harcourt, have been listed as Local Government Areas, with the highest number of Covid-19, cases in Rivers State.
Junaid Mohammed, Senior Public Health Promotion Officer, of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, made this known in a chat with journalists, after a meeting in Port Harcourt.
Junaid, who advised residents to get vaccinated, said the NCDC, is in the state due to the high rate of the virus.
He also said the Commission will deploy a team to help the state response in the area of coordination case search, case investigation, data management, IPC and risk communication activities.
Meanwhile the state have so far recorded 11,659 cases with 149 deaths.
