The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has alleged that 10 serving commissioners in the state have tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19.
Spokesperson of the party in the state, Ogbonna Nwuke made this known in a statement yesterday, in Port Harcourt.
He accused Governor Wike of deliberately suppressing the release of information, pertaining to the infection of serving commissioners and other high ranking officials.
“We have received worrying intelligence which indicate that no less than 10 serving Commissioners in this administration have tested positive to the diseases. Many more are contacting the disease as a result of the deviant behaviour of the Rivers State Government and the occupants of Government House,” he said.
“As a result of the nonchalant attitude of the administration towards the observance of set down Covid-19 guidelines, many Rivers people including Commissioners, high ranking government and party officials are being afflicted by the disease,” Nwuke added.
