A youth group in Etche Local Government Area, under the auspices of “Concerned Etche Youths”have threatened to embark on a peaceful protest on Tuesday December 1, 2020 over what they described as the deplorable state of roads in the LGA.
One of the leaders of the group ,Fred Fred in a statement yesterday said the protest became necessary to draw the attention of the state government to the condition of their roads.
Fred who noted that they are ready to resist any plan to scuttle the planned protest said it is unfair for the state government to keep erecting flyovers and major road constructions in Port Harcourt while Etche “remains in darkness”.
